Today on Sky Sports Racing: Kachy Stakes from Lingfield Park | Racing News

It’s all eyes on the all-weather this Sunday with Lingfield Park hosting a competitive seven-race card, live on Sky Sports Racing…

2.37 Lingfield – Last year’s 1-2 Diligent Harry and Annaf set for repeat clash

Clive Cox’s Diligent Harry made all to claim this Listed prize last season and granted a similar trip he will be popular to follow up at a track that suits.

2023 winner Annaf gave 5lbs to the winner last year and Mick Appleby will be hoping he can turn the tables off level-weights before he heads off for a repeat success in Saudi.

Karl Burke’s Marshman is worth a mention after he returned to winning form with a game success at Newcastle and deserves his chance under Clifford Lee.

Group 2 winner Mitbaahy has undergone wind surgery since last seen when well beaten in the Group 1 July Cup and a market watch is advised.

Misty Grey has six all-weather wins to his name and will no doubt come on a good deal for his reappearance behind Marshman but he needs to find something extra if he’s to register a first win at this level.

2.05 Lingfield – In-form Cairn Gorm & Monsieur Beaulieu feature

Cairn Gorm made the perfect start for new trainer Mick Appleby when winning comfortably at Wolverhampton and his trainer is confident he will strip fitter here. Providing he handles this tighter track, he should go close under Luke Morris.

Monsieur Beaulieu is yet to finish out of the first three on the all-weather and he heads the dangers despite a 4lb rise for his recent success over course and distance.

Of the others, Mondammej has been in fine fettle this winter but will need to bounce back from a lesser effort last month, where he didn’t get any cover and ran too free.

1.32 Lingfield – Recent winners Zoran & Moel Arthur clash

Emma Lavelle’s Zoran produced arguably the best display of his flat career when leading from start to finish and narrowly fending off Robusto at Kempton. He has obvious claims from this 1lb higher mark, with David Probert keeping the ride.

Moel Arthur capitalised on a slipping mark when readily landing a course and distance event on his last start and he merits respect as he seeks a Lingfield hat-trick under Callum Shepherd.

Haaland has finished behind the pair on his last two starts and his trainer reaches for a first-time visor in search of some improvement.

Best of the rest

1.00 Lingfield – Owen and Crouch combine again with Forever Proud

A fifth start in 2025 for Forever Proud who seems to be thriving for racing and looked as good as ever when all out to win at Kempton 11 days ago. Hector Crouch and James Owen combine again and she’ll no doubt prove popular once more.

The ultra-consistent Union Island has also had a busy winter and will no doubt be in the shake-up again but may need something extra if he’s to defy this mark.
