Moment South Korean lawmakers vote to impeach President Yoon

South Korea’s parliament has voted to impeach Yoon Suk Yeol.

It means that Mr Yoon will immediately be suspended from office, and the prime minister will become the acting president.

The entire impeachment process could take weeks, as a trial needs to be held before the country’s Constitutional Court.
